A QMAP Can:
- Administer medications according to written physician's orders.
- Maintain proper documentation of medication administration.
- Use proper techniques when administering medications by various routes.
- Safely fill and administer medications from medication reminder boxes with appropriate oversight.
A QMAP Is Not:
- A licensed healthcare professional.
- Authorized to make clinical judgments, assessments, or evaluations of a client.
- Authorized to independently assess a client's condition or determine whether a medication should be administered.
